Epoxy Resin Paint Production Process Newly Established in Songyong Paint FactoryA new process for producing epoxy resin paint has been established at the Songyong Paint Factory amid the vigorous struggle for equipping new structure of the chemical industry perfectly true to the great revolutionary program set forth by the ８th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.The establishment of production process of epoxy resin paint, which is widely used as high-quality paint in the floor construction of various kinds of machinery and equipment, electric appliances, household appliances, foodstuff factories and pharmaceutical factories, makes it possible to contribute to satisfying the demand for chemical products.In hearty response to the task set forth by the Party Congress on the improvement of the structure of the country’s chemical industry, the Ministry of Chemical Industry intensified the plan for developing the country’s chemical industry in a more diverse way by directing efforts to establishing organic chemical industrial bases.As part of this, it organized the work to build the production process of epoxy resin paint at the Songyong Paint Factory and pushed ahead with the technical preparations.Technicians and scientists of the Songyong Paint Factory, the Hamhung Branch of the State Academy of Sciences and the Namhung Chemical Design Institute worked out a technical assignment for establishing the production process of epoxy resin paint and conducted the designing of the process in a responsible manner.The Power-driven Machine Institute under the State Academy of Sciences has pushed ahead with making the equipment with its own efforts and technology, which was imported in the past, bearing deep in mind the Party’s policy of localization. As a result, it brought good results in manufacturing various facilities.Workers and technicians of the Songyong Paint Factory made １８ kinds of apparatuses with their own efforts and technology under the guidance of the Party organization.The factory has successfully conducted trial operation several times since January.
