Efficient Sci-tech Research Result IntroducedKanggye University of Agriculture and Forestry conducts brisk sci-tech research works conducive to the economic development of the province.The teachers and researchers of the university put efforts into extensively cultivating oil-bearing plants suited to the climatic and soil conditions of the northern uplands.The university, under the guidance of the Party organization, selected the species of oil-bearing plants according to the geographical conditions and on the basis of this, intensified the research emphasizing the increase of its production. And they introduced the result of research after solving the technical problems arising in cultivation of oil-bearing plant.Meanwhile, with the assistance of the provincial rural economy committee, they succeeded in the experiment on extensively cultivating oil-bearing trees in conformity with the climatic and soil conditions of the region, and provided the guarantee for widely introducing the result of the experiment in reality.In addition, the research group of the university made progress in solving sci-tech problems for double cropping by perfecting the technology for cultivating wheat and dry-field rice in terms of changing the grain production structure into rice- and wheat-oriented farming structure. They solved the urgent sci-tech problems for increasing grain production per hectare.
