South Hamgyong Province strives to steadily increase the output of dairy products to be sent to children, upholding the Party’s childcare policy.
It placed focus on increasing the number of goats.
To this end, it organized campaigns in which one overtakes and learns from others and swaps experiences with each other among cities, counties and farms and thus unfolded the work to widely generalize worthful technologies and experiences acquired in the process of goat rearing.
Accordingly, the cities and counties set feasible goals for securing goats in conformity with their actual conditions and carried them out one by one.
The number of goats grew bigger amid brisk emulations among regions.
The cities and counties build up their own technical force by heightening the technical and skill level of goatherds on one hand and promotes the construction of new corrals for the goats newly secured on the other. They also actively apply different veterinary drugs of their own making into anti-epizootic work.
Hamju County, in particular, achieved good results by dynamically pushing ahead with the work to increase the number of goats and secure a larger area of pastures.
The province also pays attention to increasing the output of milk powder.
