People across the country ardently yearn for President Kim Il Sung with the approach of the day of his demise.
Everything on this land is changing and one generation is being replaced with another with the passage of time.
However, the beaming image and warm voice of President Kim Il Sung are always cherished dear in the hearts of the people.
When we stand on the fork road to Mangyongdae, we still vividly remember the President who, from there, headed for working people though Mangyongdae, his native place he hadn’t forgotten even in the days of the bloody anti-Japanese war, was close-by. When we visit the iron-producing bases, we recall to ourselves the bright smile the President smiled with satisfaction while looking into the blast furnace with the protective spectacles in his hand.
We feel as if we hear him talking to the farmers unreservedly when we go to the farms and we remember him rousing the miners to increased production in the underground pit when we go to the mines.
To him, the people were Heaven and mentors.
Along with the days when the President met ordinary people to listen to their humble opinions and discuss the state affairs, the Agrarian Reform Law was promulgated, the basic line of socialist economic construction was indicated, and the policy on agricultural cooperativization, the Chongsan-ri spirit and Chongsan-ri method, the Taean work system and the theses on the socialist rural question were created.
As all those lines and policies reflected the people’s interests and were for guaranteeing the people’s happiness, our people absolutely supported and upheld them and devoted all their wisdom and passion to their implementation.
The strength that enabled our President to devote his entire life to the good of the people was his desire to meet the people, listen to their voices and share his ideals and dreams with them, his willingness to share time and place with the people and stand all weathers together.
His round-the-clock visit to the people gave birth to a harmonious whole of ties of affection and trust between the leader and the people and its might was the very key to great changes and miracles recorded in the annals of history.
We cannot forget his warm voice and smile no matter how much water may flow under the bridge.
The history of noble love for the people is carried forward by the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.
Like the President did, the respected General Secretary stays with the people and the soldiers in the frontline areas, bustling worksites and new dwelling houses full of people’s happiness.
As we hold the respected General Secretary in high esteem, the President lives forever in the hearts of all the people and his sacred history continues along with the prospering socialist country.
President Kim Il Sung is forever with the people.
His radiant image will shine for all eternity along with the history of victory and glory of the dignified people’s country, the prospering socialist Korea.
