New houses built in Ryanggang Province

New houses have been built at the Township, Jiksol and Jigyong stockbreeding farms in Kim Hyong Gwon County of Ryanggang Province. Looking at the new villages in which cosy dwelling houses with modernity, cultural refinement and diversity were built to suit the scenery peculiar to the alpine region, the people in the county are filled with pride and joy of ushering in a new era of rural rejuvenation under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea. There took place a ceremony of moving into new houses on the spot. A congratulatory speech was made in the ceremony attended by officials of the Party and power organs in the province and the county, builders and agricultural workers who would move into new houses. Then, licences for the use of new houses were handed over to be followed by resolution-making speeches. As a pleasant dance party was given, officials visited the families of farmers moving into new houses. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
