The Chongjin Restaurant has newly been built in North Hamgyong Province. Built to preserve the unique features of the Korean-style building in a modern style, the restaurant has dining rooms for serving various tasty and nutritious foods and dishes and a banquet hall. Present at an opening ceremony held on September 24 were Kim Yong Hwan, chief secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the Party and power organs and working people in the province and Chongjin City and employees of the restaurant. At the ceremony, the speaker said that the new mass public catering service base is a fruition of the benevolent care of the respectedComrade Kim Jong Un who continues the journey of selfless, devoted service for the good of the people, regarding creation for them as his greatest pleasure. At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the Chongjin Restaurant. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
