North Hamgyong Provincial Air Club inaugurated

An air club has newly been built in North Hamgyong Province. The provincial air club built in Chongjin City has a public air sports dissemination centre, sci-tech learning space, training instruments including acrobatic model aircraft and parachutes and information equipment. The completion of another base for active air sports training and technology dissemination makes it possible to further improve the air sports techniques and ensure the cultural and emotional life of working people, youth and students in the province. Present at the inauguration ceremony held on September 26 were officials concerned, players, coaches and employees of the provincial air club and working people in Chongjin City. Pak Myong Ho, chairman of the North Hamgyong Provincial People's Committee, addressed the ceremony. At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the air club. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
