New houses were built at Sambong-ri and Unbong-ri of Phyongwon County, South Phyongan Province. The modern houses which resemble a picture are a precious fruition of the devoted efforts of the respectedComrade Kim Jong Un who cherishes it as the greatest desire to eradicate the centuries-old backwardness of the countryside as soon as possible and make all the agricultural workers across the country enjoy an affluent and civilized life. Officials in the province and the county, builders and agricultural workers were present at a ceremony for moving into new houses. A congratulatory speech was made there. Then, the licences for the use of houses were handed over and oath-taking speeches were made. When moving into new houses began, a cheerful dance party was given and joyful laughter and songs of happiness resounded from the windows of every house. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper.
