The respectedComrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Ri Hwa Ju, a woman centenarian living in Neighbourhood Unit No. 18, Phungnyon-ri, Mundok County, South Phyongan Province, on her 100th birthday. The old woman and her family and relatives expressed gratitude to Kim Jong Un, hardly repressing great excitement. She, who had experienced the sorrow of a stateless nation before liberation, devoted herself to agricultural production for decades with one mind to repay the benevolence of President Kim Il Sung who liberated the country, and brought up her children to be pillars of the country. Officials of the Mundok County Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and power organs in the county visited her family to congratulate her on her birthday. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors.
