Korean organizations and compatriots in China sent flower baskets to the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill in Pyongyang on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation. Placed at the statues of the great leaders were flower baskets in the name of the Association of Korean Nationals in Dandong City of China and Chairperson Sim Chong Song and other leading members of the association, and the General Association of Traders of Korean Nationality in Dandong City of China. A flower basket in the name of Ram In Yong, vice-chairperson of the Association of Korean Nationals in Dandong City of China was laid before the statues of the great leaders. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
