Agricultural workers met meritorious persons of socialist patriotism on September 5 on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the DPRK. The meritorious persons made remarks at the meeting. The speakers told the agricultural workers about the great love and benevolence of the respectedComrade Kim Jong Un who gave the precious honour of meritorious person of socialist patriotism to them who should do much more work than what they have done. They stressed that it is genuine patriotism and pride to keep in mind the trust and expectations of the Workers' Party of Korea and devote themselves to improving the people's standards of living. Saying that nothing is impossible when the patriotic minds to love and glorify their native places are pooled as one, the speakers expressed their resolve to bring earlier the rural development by preparing the agricultural workers as rural revolutionaries in the new era who will uphold the Party's plan in the van. Present at the meeting were Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, officials of the UAWK and agricultural workers in Pyongyang. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
