The Wonsan Kalma Cooking Festival-2025 opened at the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area under the sponsorship of the Central Committee of the Korean Association of Cooks.
The festival brought together more than 100 units from the sectors of the Guidance Bureau of Public Catering Service, catering service in Pyongyang and provinces (cities under the direct control of the government), external service, ministries, national agencies and service of the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area.
Present at the opening ceremony held on September 22 were officials concerned, cooks and waiters and waitresses in the catering service sector.
During the festival there will be a famous dish and local speciality dish exhibition, instant food service contest, demonstration of excellent cooks and waiters and waitresses and a cooking exhibition in the service sector of the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area in various forms and methods.
The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
