A delegation of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea headed by Ri Chol, director of the Academy of Medical Science of the Ministry of Public Health who is chairman of the DPRK-Russia Friendship Parliamentary Group, left Pyongyang on October 17 to visit Russia. It was seen off at Pyongyang International Airport by Kim Song Il, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the youth league who is vice-chairman of the DPRK-Russia Friendship Parliamentary Group, and Aleksandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
