The Iraqi president called on regional countries to unite against Israel’s invasion in a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar on September 11. Strongly censuring Israel for its air raids on Qatar, he said that such aggressive military action is a wanton violation of international law and regulations and a direct threat to the security of the region. The Iraqi government rejects any threat to the security and sovereignty of Qatar, he said, adding that the international community should fulfill its responsibility in order to put an end to Israel’s criminal outrages disturbing global peace and security.
