A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry resolutely rejected the US’ demand that G7 and NATO member nations apply additional tariffs to China on the excuse that it imports Russian crude oil in a press conference on September 15. Branding such US behaviour as a typical and unilateral outrage and economic blackmail, he stressed that it is just and lawful for China to effect normal economic, trade and energy cooperation with all countries over the world including Russia. He declared that the Chinese government resolutely opposes the reckless application of unilateral sanctions while finding fault with China too often and that if China’s legitimate rights are infringed, it would firmly defend its sovereignty, security and development interests by taking decisive reprisal without fail. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
