Aim of talking about ‘threat from Russia’ exposed

Article Content

Leonid Slutski, chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the State Duma of Russia, on September 20 condemned the Estonian authorities’ provocative behaviour. Recently, the Estonian authorities called for holding a meeting of NATO member nations, claiming that a Russian fighter had violated the territorial airspace of their country. In this regard, the chairman noted that Estonia is attempting to involve NATO in a confrontation with Russia, talking about “Russia’s violation of its territorial airspace” together with other Baltic countries. Questioning why politicians of the Baltic countries are trying to involve NATO in the conflict with Russia so stubbornly as to be called lunatics and why they are so anxious to ignite the third World War, he disclosed that it was nothing but a hysterical behaviour displayed lest the US’ military support should fall. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
