Russian presidential press secretary Dmitri Peskov clarified the stand to counter the EU’s sanctions at a press conference on October 2. As regards the EU’s attempt to apply new sanctions against Russia, he said his country has already become inured to such sanctions and would confront them in the same way as before. Russia has acquired the knack of securing profits in the face of sanctions, while enhancing its independence in production and technological fields.
