A spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the US for finding fault with his country’s purchase of the Russian crude oil in a press conference on October 16. Saying that it is just and legitimate for it to conduct normal economic, trade and energy cooperation with Russia and other countries in the world, he branded the US behaviour as a unilateral outrage and an economic blackmail. The Chinese government is strongly opposed to the US for applying illegitimate and unilateral sanctions against it at will while picking a quarrel with it without any reason and if its just rights and interests are infringed, it will mount a counterattack without fail to firmly defend the national sovereignty, right to development and security interests, he noted. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
