Gingko trees at Songgyungwan, registered as a living monument, stand on the campus of Koryo Songgyungwan which was the top educational institution in the period of Koryo Kingdom (918-1392). The tree in the east is 31.5 metres high, 6.3 metres round at the root neck and 5.6 metres round at the chest height. Its round crown is 20 metres wide. The one in the west is 33.7 metres high, 6.7 metres round at the root neck, and 5.6 metres round at the chest height. Its round crown is 28.7 metres wide, so it is wider than that of the one in the east. What is noteworthy is that the leaves of the tree put on autumnal tints before those of the one in the east.
