Youth and students hold oath-taking meeting

Bearing in mind the noble soul and spirit of the revolutionary forerunners, youth and students successfully made a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu. The young people from across the country met at the plaza before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the Samjiyon Grand Monument on December 7 to vow to prepare themselves to be the true young vanguard unfailingly loyal to the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un. They entered the venue of the meeting. Present there were Pak Myong Jin, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials of the youth league and members of the study tour group. All the members solemnly pledged to firmly defend the revolutionary traditions of Paektu created by the first generation of the revolution, glorify them generation after generation and surely bring about a new era of comprehensive national rejuvenation in which the desire of the fighters will be fulfilled on this land. The meeting fully demonstrated the unshakable faith and will of the young vanguard to fully arm themselves with the revolutionary spirit of Paektu and staunchly struggle for the victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche under the leadership of the Central Committee of the great Workers' Party of Korea. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
