Leading officials of WPK Central Committee pay condolatory visit to Russian embassy

Pak Jong Chon and Jo Chun Ryong, secretaries of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Jae Ryong, department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, and Kim Jong Sik, first deputy department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, paid a condolatory visit to the Russian embassy in Pyongyang on December 10. The leading officials of the WPK Central Committee observed a moment's silence in memory of Aleksandr Matsegora who devoted his all to the DPRK-Russia friendship. They met and consoled the bereaved family and expressed sadness over the loss of their true friend. Pak Jong Chon made an entry in the condolence book. On the same day, senior officials of ministries and national agencies visited the Russian embassy to express their condolences. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors.
