The Kanggye Tannery has been newly built and inaugurated in Jagang Province. The tannery with more than 10 buildings and modern equipment was built to lay another foundation for substantially improving the people's living standards. An inauguration ceremony took place on the spot on December 9 with the attendance of officials in Jagang Province and employees of the tannery. At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the tannery. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
