New grain transit station built in South Phyongan Province

South Phyongan Province built a new grain transit station specializing in grain transport, storage, processing and supply. The station with grain storehouses, rice processing equipment and vehicles built in the area with favourable traffic conditions is a modern grain management base conducive to developing the local economy and improving the people's standards of living. Ri Kyong Chol, chief secretary of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Song Bom, chairman of the provincial people's committee, and officials concerned looked round the newly-built station on November 30. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors.
