National exhibition of sci-tech achievements in field of public health closes

The National Exhibition of Sci-Tech Achievements in the Field of Public Health-2025 closed with due ceremony at the Central Youth Hall in Pyongyang on November 13. The exhibition demonstrated the high creative ability of the officials, scientists and technicians in the field of public health to firmly guarantee with science and technology the work for rebuilding the country’s public health sector on an advanced basis and radically developing it. Highly appreciated were the products exhibited by Pyongyang Municipality, North Phyongan Province, North and South Hamgyong provinces, the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital, the Ryugyong Dental Hospital, Pyongyang University of Medical Sciences, the Academy of Medical Science, the Sinjin Technology Exchange Company of the Kangbong Trading Company, the Hungnam Pharmaceutical Factory and the Maebongsan Medical Supplies Factory as they make substantial contributions to strengthening the material and technical foundations of the public health sector. Present at the closing ceremony were Choe Tong Myong, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Jon Sung Guk, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials concerned, scientists, technicians and three-revolution team members. Diplomas, certificates and prizes were awarded to the units and participants that were highly appreciated. Jong Mu Rim, minister of Public Health, made a closing address. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
