Pak Thae Song, premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, met Thongsavanh Phomvihane, foreign minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic who paid a courtesy call on him, at the Mansudae Assembly Hall in Pyongyang on November 13. Present there were Pak Sang Gil, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, and other officials of the Foreign Ministry and the party of the Lao Foreign Minister. The talk proceeded in a friendly atmosphere. The Pyongyang Times, launched on May 6, 1965, is the DPRK's only English newspaper. It gives latest, detailed information about what is going on in the country in politics, the economy, culture and other sectors. And the paper also provides a vast knowledge of the nooks and crannies of Pyongyang.
